Suite Mare Selene - Il Monastero Sul Mare

Everything, this place is holistic: light, views, quietness, space. It just makes you feel good, and it has 3 balconies. It is located in the heart of Vieste, a short walk from plenty of paid parking (free parking in Vieste after May 31 is non existent). Carmen, your local host, is extremely available and a very nice person.

Nothing, but there are a couple of heads-ups. There are 3 alleys you can use to reach the building. The farthest to the right is the one with no steps and you can roll your suitcase because, when you will reach the former convent, you will have to deal with its stares: the first flight is hard, the second one is harder and the final 6 steps are a killer, even without luggage. The completely open space obviously require synchronized day activity rhythms. What is less obvious, for late or light sleepers is that the white curtains will allow plenty of light inside already at 6:00 AM. Finally, the kitchen and its equipment allow for minimal cooking.

Our Suite Mare Selene was perfect, from the space and the location and to our host, Carmen. The apartment is so spacious and beautiful, with wonderful views of the old town and the sea. The bed was super comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The location is ideal for exploring both the older parts of Vieste and the newer neighborhoods, right in the midst of restaurants and attractions. Meeting Carmen to access the apartment was easy, and she was friendly and responsive to any messages. We especially appreciated all the details such as soft towels, shower supplies and complimentary snacks. We would definitely recommend it and would stay here again!
