Marea de l'Alguer - a stone's throw from the sea

We had a perfect holiday in Alghero! Livia was an excellent host from the very beginning, even before we arrived. She was always quick to reply to my questions, very flexible and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We rented a car for the whole holiday, so parking was important for us. There were always plenty of free parking spaces on the street, and Livia also explained how to use the private parking space at the property if needed. From the outside, the building looks a little older, but don’t let that fool you. The apartment itself is absolutely fantastic – it has been completely renovated, everything is brand new, modern and spotless. It really felt like staying in a brand-new apartment, which made our 10-day stay even more enjoyable. The location is excellent. Almost every day we left the car parked and walked to Maria Pia Beach. It was a pleasant walk and the beach and the water were beautiful. Every evening we also walked to the historic centre of Alghero, which was another lovely walk. We really loved the location – close to both the beach and the city centre. There are also three supermarkets within walking distance, which was very convenient. The apartment is clean, modern and equipped with everything you might need. The washing machine was especially useful because we could wash our beach towels and have them clean every day. We highly recommend staying here. Honestly, we cannot think of a single negative thing. Our family of four, with two teenage children (15 and 17 years old), felt completely at home. If we ever return to Alghero, we would happily stay here again.

The location was great. Short walk to the town which was really lovely to explore. Lots of beautiful beaches close by to relax on. The host gave a great list of suggestions for things to do, places to eat, things to see and we went to some incredibly delicious restaurants from the list. The apartment is newly refurbished so beautifully decorated and fresh. Lots of parking outside which was really handy. The apartment was very clean.

Beautiful & clean apartment in a great location close to the beach & within walking distance of the old town. The apartment was great for two couples to comfortably stay with plenty of space & and storage for belongings. Marco provided some great bar & restaurant recommendations nearby too.

Everything was great but my only gripe was there were no towel hooks in the bathroom

I had the best time at Marea de l'Alguer! Marco and Livia were super clear and helpful from the start. The apartment is gorgeous and spotless and being able to park in the garage was a big plus. The area is really nice and quiet, but you still have bars and restaurants nearby. Definitely recommend!
