The Overlook on Douglas Lake (Waterfront Luxury)

Experience one of the most spectacular lakefront properties on Douglas Lake, which is wonderfully located on the main channel with over 900' of shoreline, year-round water, and beautiful views of the lake from all sides of the massive home. The home is on a 4-acre peninsula with no close neighbors. You get it all with multiple million-dollar views of both Douglas Lake and the Smoky Mountains. The first floor is 10 ft ceilings with a step down to a massive living room with 20 ft ceilings, two walls of soaring windows that showcase the lake view, a 75"x 43" TV (Theatre Room Quality), top quality furniture, and a top quality dining room table that very comfortably seats 12 people. The kitchen is enormous with multiple islands, 2 sinks, 2 top-quality refrigerators/freezers, a large butler pantry all the cabinet and counter space you could ever need. The kitchen also has a breakfast room table that seats up to 6 in a round room with a panoramic view of the lake. Each bedroom has its own private access bathroom and shower. The showers are all large with beautiful tile. Each bedroom has its own TV, which is a smart TV or has a Roku Receiver. Every room in the home has wood flooring or tile.

Guests have full access to a fire pit down the stairs, right on the lake, on the peninsula point.

Guests have full access to the floating dock with floats all year round, which can be used for fishing and boating all year round.

The home his equipped with 500Mbps high-speed fiber optic internet. The home is equipped with a 24kw Generac backup generator.

We support small weddings and events up to 75 guests but charge an event fee of $1,750 for each up to March 1, 2026 (different fee after that date when facilities are upgraded). Our wedding/event manager must be used so that event runs smoothly, property is protected and neighbors are not disturbed. We work with a local, top-rated all-inclusive event management company that, as needed, can manage or support all aspects of your wedding or other event. They will provide a quote for your needs that is separate and in addition to our event fee of $1,750.

Coming additions not shown in the pictures:
*The deck out back overlooks Douglas Lake on 3 sides and is being increased by over 1000 sq ft to accommodate weddings that seat up to 75 guests, to be completed on 10/12/2025.
*The area under the deck will have a hot tub and concrete floor, and a ceiling with chairs to view the lake, with a shield from the sun to be completed on 11/27/2025.
*The 3-car garage is being converted to a large game room to be completed by 11/27/2025.
*Plans are in the works for a large pavilion for small wedding receptions and events to be completed by March 1, 2026.

Note: The guest who books the cabin is required to sign a renter's agreement through an external link, which will be sent to you automatically after booking. The guest who books the cabin is required to pre-approve a $500 damage protection deposit that is 100% fully refunded 3 days after check-out if no damages are incurred and if the guest follows house rules to not disturb the neighbors. The security deposit is not charged to your card until after your stay, and it is only charged if there is damage or if a house rule was broken.

Guests have full access to 3,200 square feet of the 4,254 finished sq ft home, which includes all the area shown in the pictures shown on the first and second floors, porches, and outside areas.

The owners live in a separate area of the home on the first floor and in the basement. They have their own entrance, separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, and study, not shown in the posted pictures. Owners are available for any needs you have, but otherwise, you are not likely to see them except when they are parking or going to their car.

Part of the year, the owners live in Maryland. When on-site, the owners are available to provide pet-sitting services for you for $35 per pet for up to 12 hours. Grocery and restaurant delivery services may also be arranged by owners.

Not all areas of the property are safe for children due to steep drop-offs and proximity to deep water. Children must be supervised by you at all times.

Up to 2 small dogs are allowed with each having a maximum weight of 20 lbs. There will be a charge of $200 per dog per stay for the additional cleaning fee. Dogs must be house trained, taken out to potty every 2-4 hours and supervised at all times. Pet waste left outside must be picked up using plastic bags provided and placed in an exterior trash can after securely tying the plastic bag. Pet sitting is provided on-site for $35 per dog for up to 12 hours when owner is available.
