Your vacation on the Baltic Sea begins under the thatched roof of the newly renovated brick house “An der Schlehe,” nestled in a lovingly landscaped garden. Spanning 76 m², this cozy retreat awaits you—perfect for two adults. The garden is fully fenced and densely bordered by hedges, making it a paradise for up to two four-legged friends—so nothing stands in the way of a relaxing vacation with your dog.
On the first floor, you enter the vacation home through a small entryway with a coat rack. The open-concept living and kitchen area is the heart of the home: A comfortable leather sofa, armchairs, a TV, and a wood-burning stove create a cozy atmosphere—perfect for relaxing evenings; please bring your own firewood. The open kitchen is equipped with everything you need for self-catering, including a freezer and an oven. A small dishwasher takes care of the tedious part. Numerous windows are fitted with insect screens, so you can air out the house undisturbed even on warm summer evenings. The naturally lit bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink, towel warmer, and washing machine is located separately off the small hallway. The floors on the first floor are tiled.
An open staircase leads you up to the loft beneath the thatched roof. There you’ll find a spacious double bed, a wardrobe, a small reading nook with a well-stocked bookshelf, and a dining table that also works wonderfully as a desk. The restored wooden floorboards and the gently sloping ceilings create a particularly cozy atmosphere.
The outdoor area also invites you to linger: the secluded terrace with comfortable seating, sun loungers, and a beach chair is reserved exclusively for you. A private carport provides a secure parking spot. This fenced-in vacation home offers plenty of privacy—and a garden that’s perfect for spending time with your four-legged friends.
In the small hamlet of Goos near Dranske, pure island charm awaits you: Surrounded by vast fields and bathed in salty sea air. This charming little village is a peaceful retreat for anyone who values tranquility and wants to recharge in nature. Only a few hundred meters separate the vacation home from the unspoiled Baltic Sea beach. From here, the view stretches all the way to the Dornbusch Lighthouse—especially atmospheric during the simply incomparable sunsets.
During the summer season, the ferry from the pier in Dranske takes you comfortably to the car-free island of Hiddensee—an excursion you’ll remember for a long time. The expansive coastal landscape is perfect for hiking and biking; the cliff-top trail toward Cape Arkona is considered one of Rügen’s most beautiful coastal routes. Water sports enthusiasts will find ideal conditions for kitesurfing or stand-up paddleboarding at the nearby Wieker Bodden.
