Vera's Cottage

Excellent location for hiking/walking in Edale area, this property is on the doorstep of all the walks in and around Edale and Castleton.

The property is lovely and welcoming and very clean. Spacious with room sizes and king size master bed and bunk beds to the other bedroom.

The only couple of things that we think could and would benefit this lovely property is much better communication between the managers/reception to the customers before arrival and upon arrival (several days time laps) regarding entering the property upon arrival and if it's convenient for a early check-in. We were told to go to reception upon arrival (when we booked and paid) to collect the keys but there isn't any reception ? Tried to call the manager/reception personnel but there is NO mobile coverage in that remote area and after a very long drive to the property it's the last thing you need when you are exhausted. After walking around the front of the property for a period of time looking for a sign or something one of the neighbours came out and to see what we were doing ? (Very embarrassing) and the neighbour managed to call the manager/reception (landline I do believe) and gave us further information to gain entry to the property. Hopefully the manager/reception personnel will read this feedback and make these tiny tiny improvements. Please don't let the above information put you off booking this beautiful property as it is remote (regarding mobile connectivity) and absolutely stunning, clean and accessible to all the outdoor pursuits. The welcome package was absolutely lovely and we do thank the manager/reception personnel for this. Definitely we do highly recommend this beautiful holiday cottage and hopefully they will let us back 🙏
