Bishops Brilliance La Jolla Village

The place was super clean and the location was great! Check in and check out were so smooth. Super easy access to the town center with shopping and restaurants, as well as easy walking beach access about 10 minutes by foot. There's a grocery store and CVS just across the street if needed. Parking on-site was fabulous as we had a rental car and didn't want to worry about scouring the streets for a spot. The balcony was lovely and spacious along with the backyard area to hang out. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need if you plan on cooking. 4 beach towels were provided along with two chairs, some boogie boards, a yoga mat, toys, and an umbrella! I will say the chairs were in rough shape with broken straps which made them tricky to transport by foot but they got the job done. The bottom floor was a bit cramped for luggage, so we used upstairs as our main area to hang out and get ready. I will say it may be a bit tight for any more than 2 people, but the couch did pull out as an extra bed. There weren't a ton of extra pillows or blankets which may be necessary with more people. No washer or dryer, so keep that in mind as I forgot to check that on the listing. Also keep in mind, there is A/C, but it's a window unit and is located upstairs. Downstairs got quite hot in the bedroom at night, even with the A/C running so just keep in mind if you're renting in the summertime. Overall would recommend and had a lovely stay in La Jolla! We miss it already!

The place was a very good value. Excellent location, very clean, lovely area to be outside and enjoy the weather. No time to grill but that was an attractive bonus. Comfortable bed and well-appointed kitchen. The only drawback for me were the instructions for accessing the property, so much so that I spent the first night in a hotel. Perhaps I should have called the 24 hour number but I didn’t want to wait on the street for a resolution. It was midnight by the time I reached the property due to a series of travel issues. With clearer directions to get in to the property, and perhaps more kindness at resolving my dilemma, this experience easily would have been a five star overall stay.

An excellent spot. Walk to the beach. Walk to various eating spots !
