The Space
The property is the result of a careful restoration of an old country house. The spaces have been expanded to create a sense of openness, and large windows have been installed to offer views of the majestic Casella Valley, whose sounds can be heard from the living room. Light floods the interior of the house in a carefully designed way, highlighting every architectural detail in every corner—such as the wooden partitions, the cantilevered staircase leading to the small reading room, and the massive 70-square-meter sunroom located on the first floor. The 11-meter-long by 5-meter-wide pool has been renovated to make it more accessible and equipped with a purification system to ensure crystal-clear water and allow for the enjoyment of the panoramic views visible from the access steps; this system significantly reduces water consumption, a thoughtful feature. The house is full of thoughtful details: frameless doors that make the entrances to the bedrooms and the bathroom virtually invisible, terracotta tile flooring, restored walls of white terracotta tiles… the entire space is a delight for the senses. It is a space nestled in the tranquility of nature, surrounded by forests and orange groves, yet equipped with all the comforts of a modern home.
Amenities and Common Areas
Casa Caliu is located in the Murta-Casella Municipal Natural Park, an area that offers a wide variety of hiking and mountain biking trails. We’d be happy to provide you with detailed information about the various routes, both on foot and by bike. If you’d like, we can arrange rentals of mountain bikes and e-bikes. In the town of Alzira, there is also a climbing area with 150 fully equipped sport climbing routes ranging from grade 4 to 8.
