Town: The lively coastal town of Dunbar, on the south east coast of Scotland, is ideally situated for touring and exploring the area. Boasting lovely sandy beaches, pubs, restaurants, museums and leisure facilities, there is something to satisfy all tastes. The area of East Lothian offers many attractions for visitors including the John Muir Country Park and Museum and the East Links Family Park in Dunbar, the Seabird Centre at North Berwick Harbour, Tantallon Castle, the Museum of Flight, where you can walk under the wings of Scotland's Concorde, and 19 golf courses, including The Open Championship course at Muirfield. Diving off St Abbs is world famous, and beaches at Cove and Coldingham offer unsurpassed beauty. Nearby Cockburnspath lies on the eastern extremity of the Southern Upland Way, a long distance footpath from the west to east coast of Scotland, and is ideally situated to offer great walking. A short drive or train journey north will take you to Edinburgh, while Berwick-upon-Tweed and Lindisfarne are a short drive south. A great location with plenty to see and do!
