Amazing location across the street from Pere Marquette beach. Enjoy Lake Michigan, Muskegon Lake, and all the summer fun that Muskegon has to offer. Located steps from the Muskegon South Pier and Muskegon channel which is great for watching boats come and go from Lake Michigan, or bring your own boat (boat rentals available nearby on Muskegon Lake). The cottage is located near the beautiful bike trails of Muskegon (bike rentals available nearby). The Deck Restaurant is an adult playground that is family friendly and across the street featuring live music by spectacular bands and delicious smoked meat dishes. BoDocks Marina Bar & Grill will be opening spring of 2026 and is within a bike ride or nice walk from the cottage for more entertainment options. For the more adventurous, kiteboarding lessons take place right at Pere Marquette Park. The USS Silversides Submarine Museum is about a 5 minute walk away. The cottage is equipped with 4 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a wagon for your use. Two bikes available for recreational use. Bring a kayak or paddleboard to use at the Muskegon Lake public access just down the street. There is a backyard fire pit for your use or grab some provided wood and take it across the street to a public fire pit right by the beach. There are 2 piers for walking/fishing within a short walk from the house. There is plenty of parking for cars and your boat trailer. There are so many options of fun things to do within walking and biking distance. Come enjoy a fabulous beach getaway!

Great getaway. Excellent location. Amazing sunsets across the street. Deer grazing in backyard was a bonus. We will definitely be back!

The beach house exceeded our expectations in many ways! The area's food, art and natural beauty are well worth the drive. Comfortable, well-appointed home. Beach is beautiful and clean. Sand is soft. Pier is fun to walk. It really is just steps away from the house, although you do have to walk to see it. Food and music at The Deck were above expectations. We didn't expect live music every day - way to go, Muskegon! Added bonus is that you can't hear the restaurant noise from the beach house. We dined mostly at home but thoroughly enjoyed Brunch House on Henry Street, Carmen's Cafe on Jefferson St. and Bear Lake Tavern on Ruddiman Dr. Oh, and the farmer's markets in Michigan can't be beat. Interesting sights included the Hackley Library (gorgeous), Monet Garden, sub museum, lighthouse and the art museum. We'd spend our morning exploring, take chairs to the beach in the afternoon and relax in the evening trying to find the best place to watch the sunset. Grand Haven is a lovely city within a short drive if you want to explore beyond Muskegon. Living room and front porch furniture were comfortable for lounging. Dining room picture looks smaller than it actually is - it's tight, but you can move the benches. Kitchen was well-stocked with pans, utensils, dining ware. Appliances in great condition. Bathroom is tiny and as other reviewers mentioned, storage in the bedrooms is tight. Beach chairs, beach towels and a rolling wagon in excellent shape
