The attitude of the rental company and uncleanliness. Prior to arrival, several lengthy emails “welcoming” us, while reminding us not to steal things, to clean up the apt to make it easier for the cleaning company (we did pay a $130 cleaning fee(?)), etc., and then the long list of ways to lose our security deposit, including getting sand in the apt, not taking out the trash for the cleaners, not doing the dishes, not vacating one minute beyond 10 am…on and on. Also offered early or late checkout for $50/hr. How kind. It just felt like an endless series of threats followed by perky emojis. Then we got there and found sand, other peoples’ hair, layers of dust, yards yada yada. I travel a lot, and we are always good tenants. This company seems to assume the worst of every guest, and they basically say so. Would never rent from these people again.
