Romantic Alfama Balcony Apartment - 10 minutes from Terreiro do Paço

Tiny, beautiful apartment, decorated with love. Very central, yet private. Perfect for a short stay. You have a nice brunch location (oh la la) directly in front of the apartment. Laura, our host, was super friendly and helpful with everything.

Since the apartment is part of an authentic old building, you can hear some noises from neighbourhood. It did not bother us much, as we were super tired after a long beautiful day in Lisbon :)

Cozy decor. An easy walk to Alfama attractions like the castle and flea market. Host very communicative.

Check-in process is stressful, especially at night. Bathroom is indeed small. Kitchen had black mold on the ceiling... owner is aware but hasn't been able to fix yet.

That it was only a few minutes away from Terreiro do Paco. That's about all...

No one met us when we mentioned the arrival time.We arrived to learn, in a message, that the keys were to be picked up at a separate location. This was an extremely challenging thing to do with luggage and then walk down hill, up many many stairs, and then up and downhill again. Doesn't matter the age, warning that it will be challenging! It is not so romantic as it is really small and only comfortable for one person. Feel it MUST be mentioned by the owner/ host that a taxi can drop you off near the Fado Museum (way closer and a lot easier) instead of at the Terreiro do Paco. It is SO much closer and tourists should know in advance. All in all, I understand it was Alfama (the old district) but it would be better seen without actually staying there. Not the best area of Lisbon like it was made out to be...misleading. On my next trip to Portugal, I would NOT stay there!!!

Mon conjoint.
