The accommodation was easy to find and a fairly straightforward walk from the train station. The host, Lia, who is also the owner of the property lives further down in the same street so is able to respond very promptly to any queries or issues you may have during your stay. LIa was very helpful and welcoming. In addition to meeting me on arrival to hand over the keys, she gave me a thorough introduction to the apartment and directions on where to find the nearest supermarket and the best route to take to the historical quarter. The property is located in a residential neighbourhood typified by little grocery stores, hardware shops, fruit and vegetable stalls and car repair places creating an authentic , local experience. While not situated in a tourist area with with bars and restaurants, the accommodation is actually quite close to the city centre. The apartment inside was spacious, spotlessly clean and in immaculate condition. It was furnished in a modern style in neutral tones of grey, with a big four-seater couch in the lounge room, a dining table and three chairs. A bonus was the television which offered a wide range of channels including news and current affairs programs in English. The kitchen was equipped with a coffee machine, full stove top and oven, and a plentiful supply of cooking utensils and crockery, including beautiful blue patterned plates, mugs and bowls. The bedroom was large with a big double wardrobe, matching chest of drawers and two bedside tables, depicted exactly as in the photo. The bathroom was excellent, with high quality tiling and appliances. The best aspect was the amount of natural light and fresh air coming into the property through three large windows, one of which opened onto a small terrace that overlooked adjoining apartments with washing hanging on the balconies.

The only suggestion for improvement is the pillows on the bed. They were too firm and hard. Plump, softer ones would be better.
