The property was in an excellent location near the village, and the unit was very clean and tidy with everything we needed to get started (i.e., paper towels, soap, etc.). Plus, parking was convenient! The refrigerator was old but serviceable.

The minute you walked into the unit, you are hit with a very strong musty smell. We assume it was from the carpet. Windows had to be opened and stay open to help with the odor. While the place was very clean it was hard to get past the odor. The other downside was the mattress. It was well past its prime. Very old and uncomfortable.

Great location! Enjoyed the walking distance to the restaurants and shops. Instructions on how to access the garage and room were very clear. Loved that they provide a little starter kit with a sponge, soap, paper towels ect. Liked that dishes, pots and pans, cups and some spices were provided. Room felt overall clean.

Did not get to enjoy the balcony. The chairs were dusty and there was a huge spider web next to one of the chairs. Would've liked if check out could be a little later.

All access points are pin pad coded so everything was super easy! My wife and I loved the "old vibes" feel to the room. The place was quiet and very comfortable and had everything that we needed to have an enjoyable stay. If i could be picky, i'd ask for a larger television. Place had plenty of firewood to cook up a fire. We were so happy with the place and it's close proximity to everything. I was in town, and on the gondola heading to Canyon lodge in a matter of a few steps. Definitely going to be our first pick for future travels back to Mammoth.

I've read some of the reviews of some of the people not liking the "old vibes" of the place but that honestly is what my wife and I enjoyed the most. It is at the corner of the building and right where the entrance into the building is so i can see how on specific days like weekends, it may get a tad bit noisy, but we didn't experience that, and frankly thats the fault of the other patrons and their lack of respect for others quiet time. The refrigerator did have a slight buzzing sound. That may be a turnoff for some but that noise happen to put me right to bed!

This was an extremely convenient location, central to all the goings on at The Village, so it suited my purposes perfectly for that. Checking in was easy, and the instructions provided by email prior to my arrival were very detailed. The condo is rustic & cozy, with everything I needed provided & well-stocked.

There seemed to a be a stampede of elephants staying on the floor above my unit, and they liked to parade most between 12am-3am. It was just about impossible to sleep through. Also, I must have misread the listing, because this unit doesn't have an AC which could be a major drawback in warmer months. On the morning I left, water started leaking through the ceiling light in the water closet.
