This Old Florida cypress sided home, with its 70s mod style, has become a landmark on the island and is the perfect house to enjoy everything the island has to offer. Relax on the deck or screened porch, fish from the shared dock, launch a kayak or paddle board in the canal, bring your boat for bay fishing. Only a short 5 minute walk to the beach! This is a great family or fishing buddy house. Completely updated in 2015 with two bedrooms, two full baths on the main floor and a spiral staircase up to the four singles in the upstairs loft. If you need a little extra room for family, the Boathouse next door is available and is perfect for parents or grandparents as an in law suite!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Wild Child. Perfect location as well as enough space for a family of four. Would definitely stay here again.

We just stayed here during the first week in April and we had a great time.
We showed up at 0500 and were able to use the key code to enter without ever having to meet anyone beforehand. The house is just as described and was very comfortable and pleasant to be in. We rented a boat for a few days and were able to park it on the dock right outside, which was perfect.
The beach is a pretty short walk, and would be easy to walk to everyday if you don’t have a lot of stuff, but you may want to consider a golf cart rental, or at least bringing or renting a wagon from one of the shops up the street, if you have small children or have things you want to bring to the beach. Or you could pack up you car and drive the four half-blocks and park right next to the entrance, which is what we did a time or two.
When I was cleaning the boat, the PVC pipe to the hose bib broke. I called maintenance and they had a plumber out within the hour to fix it and get it going again.
Possibly related to the plumber fixing the hose bib, the dishwasher didn’t end up working when we checked out. I again called maintenance to let them know and they immediately sent someone out to take a look at it.
We had a great time and we’ll probably try to stay here again if we come back to the island for another vacation.
