About this cottage rental
The space
When you step inside, the light and spacious living area immediately unfolds, offering a warm and welcoming space to gather. Whether you’re sharing meals at the large dining table, unwinding in front of the smart TV, or enjoying the glow of the wood-burning stove, the room is designed for comfort and togetherness.
With plenty of seating and a generous dining area, it easily accommodates groups of all sizes. Just beyond, a fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed to prepare anything from hearty dinners to quick breakfasts before setting out for the nearby sandy shores of Brancaster and beyond.
Upstairs, across the first and second floors of Olive Quay Cottage, you’ll find three thoughtfully prepared bedrooms. Each features quality white linens and comfortable beds, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Two bathrooms serve the rooms: a stylish family bathroom on the first floor and an additional shower room conveniently located on the ground floor.
Outside, a charming courtyard decorated with potted plants sets the scene for relaxed moments at the French bistro set - perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. Beyond this, views stretch over fields edging the village of Docking. Guests can also enjoy a lawned garden complete with outdoor dining furniture and a charcoal barbecue for alfresco meals.

Note from owners:
For us, Olive Quay Cottage has always been more than a holiday home; it’s our sanctuary. Nestled in a village with a rich maritime history, the cottage carries a sense of heritage within its walls. Stepping inside, you feel the continuity of this history; a place that has harboured generations before us and now offers calm in today’s busy world. We wanted somewhere to escape the bustle and slow down. The cottage is perfect for our two boys, with endless activities nearby to keep them entertained, and being dog-friendly means our beloved pet comes too. We love mornings walking along the coast, afternoons exploring nearby villages and evenings by the fire. Olive Quay Cottage is where we reconnect, recharge and make memories; we’re delighted to share it with you
