    This place would be even better in the Winter, close to station and lifts. Onsen was nice. Had tatami room so I set up futon myself with help of English instructions. Breafast nice mix of Japanese and Western. Would stay again if in area

    We book the room for 4 people which a bit small when we have 4 suite cases . The public bath is prefect and comfy.

    By far the best hotel I stayed in over my 3 weeks in Japan across 4 different cities. This is very much a skiing/snowboarding town, so I got incredibly cheap off season prices for a 4 person+ sized room. I stayed in a traditional Japanese room, so no bed but they provide floor mattresses, sheets and blankets, which I honestly enjoyed a lot. The room had a fantastic view from the 6th floor, tons of space and seating, and the best part, the bathroom. You get two sinks, they provide tooth brushes, hair brushes, shaving cream, tons of towels, shampoo, body wash, face wash, conditioner you name it they have it. The best part was the size of the shower, which is of particular importance to me. It was extremely clean. I really can’t recommend it enough. I paid ~*** for 2 nights (during off season). This room in Tokyo would have been 10x that price, and that’s probably not an exaggeration.

    breakfast and dinner, not worth it. Poor wifi and no shuttle service to train station, under such heavy snow condition, people dragging their luggage on snow .... staff not kindly offer transport arrangement
