Lakefront Getaway in Hagaparken Central Stockholm

It is a beautiful home. I am pregnant in the 5th month and I felt very comfortable there. The location is very nice - you feel like you are in the countryside but you are actually in the city - 20-30 mins from the city center by public transport (quicker if you are on a bike). If you are travelling by car, don’t worry that you are in a park - you can get directly to the property as it has a private parking and you would be allowed to get to it. By foot, there is a beautiful ~10 mins walk to the bus station. Very quiet, calm and cozy place where you can really rest. The communication with the host was great, too. 😊

Nothing wrong really. It was great. 😊 One tip to the tourists - the property is in the Haga park. We noticed that there were thicks in the park (we were there in late September). So if you are planing to explore the park, you should get some protection - a spray or just be cautious and check yourself after a walk. An important note is that we noticed the thicks a bit off the official alleys and not in the property’s yard. So if you stay on the big alleys and just check yourself if you need to step out of them, you should be fine. :)

De locatie en het uitzicht op het meer zijn werkelijk schitterend. Ook de ruime oppervlakte van het totale appartement. Het feit dat het een authentiek houten huis is.

De slaapkamer is erg klein. Ik kon mijn voeten niet dwars naast het bed zetten. De inrichting is ongetwijfeld met zorg uitgekozen (de host wijst hierop), maar is niet erg comfortabel en deels echt aan vernieuwing toe. Voor dit prijsniveau verwachtten wij echt een hoger luxe en afwerkingsniveau (wij zijn ervaren reizigers, dus kunnen dit goed beoordelen). Voorbeelden: verkreukt beddengoed, oude keuken (2 pannen & een deel van het bestek waren echt vies en moesten eerst afgewassen worden), buitenmeubilair was erg oncomfortabel: 2 kleine rechte stoelen, zonder kussens (een ligbed op deze plek lijkt ons toch vrij logisch). Wat als privé strand werd aangemerkt bleek ook door andere bewoners (waarvandaan onbekend) gebruikt (en compleet bezet) te worden. De trap naar de steiger en de steiger zelf zijn scheef en verouderd. Ook hier geen comfortabele zitgelegenheid (2 hoge barkrukken en een zithoek zonder kussens) die bovendien vies was. Om er te komen moet je over een voetpad door het Hagapark rijden. Dat levert veel boze blikken van parkbezoekers op en is daarom niet prettig. Er wordt geen uitleg gegeven bij diverse apparatuur, bv.: de kookplaat werkt pas als je een timer aanzet, de switch om de kraan naar douchestand om te zetten lag ook niet voor de hand. Dit hebben wij moeten uitvinden via Google. Er zijn ook een hottub en sauna (zonder uitleg en zonder attributen als zitdoeken). Het feit dat je in het bad & met een douchegordijn moet douchen (dat overigens niet goed vastzat wat we zelf moesten herstellen) Het was niet zo rustig. Aan de overkant van het meer was een feest met zeer luide muziek tot laat. Dit klinkt hard door over het water. Hier kan de host natuurlijk niets aan doen. Wat zeker wel op de host is aan te merken: zij deed de suggestie om alleen een 5 sterren recensie op booking.com te zetten en eventuele commentaren alleen persoonlijk aan haar. Dit vinden wij echt niet kunnen, maar verklaart mogelijk wel de voor ons onwaarschijnlijk hoge rating.

The location was peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by nature while still being very close to Stockholm city centre. The apartment was nicely decorated and had a calm, comfortable atmosphere. To get there, I usually took a Stockholm city bike and then walked the final part through beautiful Hagaparken, which made the journey enjoyable. Everything went well, and I had a very pleasant stay
