Delightful couple, kind and welcoming. And what a wonderful dog! The house is truly spectacular. An example of Victorian splendor. I stayed in the George room; the bed was very comfortable, The room is shockingly large as is the bathroom that is attached. Both rooms feature beautiful antique furniture and objects . The bathroom has a freestanding clawfoot tub and a shower that is perhaps 4 ft by 5 ft- huge. Both are decorated well with comfortable chairs. Wi-Fi is strong. Breakfast was delicious: made to order, eggs, toast, bacon and coffee. They also recommended some really good restaurants.
Looking forward to bringing my wife next time.
There's nothing I can really criticize. I think it would be handy to have a desk in the room, but The desk would need to be an antique to fit in.

Beautiful historic house, accommodating and friendly hosts (including a lovely dog called Toasty!), stunning bathroom with a freestanding tub.
Bed was a bit firm; the windows have thin curtains, so it was a bit too light in the bedroom during the night (there's a streetlight right outside the bedroom).

Beautiful historic house, wonderfully preserved! My room was great; just what I needed - plenty large, clean and comfortable
