"Space & yard & gardens. Great potential to be a stunning retreat if time put into the garden. However proximity to cafes, easy to move around Canberra. Super space for small family & generous rooms. ..."

Carpet has some dirt marks

Perfect location, quiet treelined street, good kitchen and bathroom overall, comfortable beds, good heating and cooling options and dog friendly.
Rangehood needed cleaning, windows need flyscreens, especially in warm nights, garden needs some work as it is just a weedy jungle.

Great location, beautiful old canberrran 2 bedroom art deco cottage. Although a little tired I hope the owners bring it back to A1 standards. Enjoyed our stay in the place.
Would like to see the gardens better maintained. The backbones are there for an awesome yard and garden.

The house was clean and the location is great-very peaceful and within walking distance to restaurants. The beds were comfortable (although on the softer side). The property has a lot of potential. The house generally matches the listing photos, although some areas now show signs of wear and would benefit from maintenance.
The property needs maintenance. The yard and garden areas were quite overgrown and there were 2 cars parked in the backyard. The carport was full of debris & clothesline wasn't accessible due to vegetation. Most of the outdoor seating was broken, so the garden wasn't really usable. Inside, the front door screen was broken and wouldn't close properly. The entry carpet is heavily stained, and the dining chairs have paint marks on them. The lounge room had limited seating, and the shower had a broken tile with a shower head that needs replacing. Towels were quite thin, old and rough. No dishwasher tablets were provided & only 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for a 5-night stay for 3 people. Has the bare minimum and could be so much better. No information as to what was required throughout the week i.e. when to put out bins or expectations for departure such as empty bins, strip beds etc. Maybe a laminated card on the fridge with this information would be helpful to guests.
