This is a great location for a short stay, where you can be within easy walk of main attractions. Apartment is secure and quiet. For us it was well positioned, as we arrived by bus & departed by train. If you’re fit & up for a good walk, we even walked to the Bom Jesus and back – takes you through non touristy part of town & then a walking/running path clearly popular with locals.
The lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom, combined with a shower that meant the floor got quite wet, made everything very damp. If you were staying more than a couple of nights this would be annoying. Some basic instructions for the washing machine would be useful, as it’s not super obvious.
