Host was wonderful. It is in new area which is very quiet at night but is 1 km from tourist stuff

3rd floor no elevator which is expected

The area is quiet.

The Kitchen-ware needed some enhancements. There was no tea boiler or microwave.

The flat was alright, and the contact person for the flat was friendly and helpful

I'm a regular visitor to Egypt. I was not allowed to have any of my Egyptian guests there. My booking was for me and an Egyptian friend from another city. The owner or contact person sent copies of our IDs to the local police. Then I was told that I was not allowed to stay there with my friend (he came with me from another city far away). They suspected we were gays, and they don't tolerate it. He had to go to a hotel instead, and then I was left alone in this big apartment by myself without my travel friend. This is one of the reasons why I think some people better think twice before they decide to visit Egypt. I understood that the police might be spying outside the flat to see if anyone would come to the flat. I understood if so happened, then that person might be arrested! Very scary and unpleasant experience!
