Central Tampa Hot Spot!

-The guest house modeled a sustainability ethos (low-water use toilets, small rooms that didn’t waste AC) -it’s lovely that the property is near a park,although I didn’t know if guests were encouraged to walk there -guest house seems to be in a residential area of Tampa, with homes nearby, so guests can get into the city atmosphere -my room was clean & comfortable, with a pretty tile floor. I appreciated that 2 towels were provided -bathroom & kitchen were very clean & tidy, actually spotless

there are some simple things you could do to make the property more neat & appealing: -Place a trash can somewhere in the backyard to encourage people to throw their litter away. (People who are travelling sometimes need to discard something) -pick up the men’s briefs on the ground, store the broken bicycle in a nearby shed or garage. -The outside area gives the impression of a vacant lot. It wouldn’t take a lot of $ to make it more appealing. courtyard/driveway area could have some landscaping rocks or simple garden bricks to give it a more welcoming feel. -You could plant local plants in front by the entrance (ferns, cactus?) I don’t know if your goal here is to keep the place a secret. There were no identifying signs anywhere when I arrived, so I figured maybe you don’t want people to know it’s a hostel?Since the front door was firmly locked, I wasn’t sure if I was at the right place. I knocked on front & back door, but no one answered, although I could hear noise inside. The side area had litter & debris, but I sat at the little table in back 20 minutes until eventually someone from the main building came out. Anyway, some kind of sign would have been helpful to let travelers know they’re at the right place. Some kind of indication of where/how to check in would be helpful too.

The host and staff are very kind. They are very responsive and helpful. I greatly appreciated them moving the bed so I could fit a pack n play in the room. I thought the room was thoughtfully decorated. The end tables have charging ports which made it easy to charge my phone overnight. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but it did the trick. I appreciated the room I had to use in the fridge and the kindness of the people who live there helping with any kitchen items I might need. The bathroom was spotless and offers a large shower. There is a TV in the room offering Netflix.

This is more of a place for adults who are traveling for work, for school, or for a quick vacation. The environment reminds me more of a hostel in that people actually live and stay here for a long time. The handle on my door was constantly needing to be adjusted to ensure I could lock my door. If you have a child stay somewhere else. It is not unsafe or unfriendly... it is just inconvenient and there isn't a living area. You have your room, the bathroom you share and the kitchen. The air conditioning is for the entire house and with the door closed you don't always get the same benefit another room might.

Fast replies and the staff was helpful and gave excelent directions and very caring and understanding

The house was excelent very clean and excelent on-site staff. My house caught on fire and they was helpful giving resources and very compassionate towards all my needs.

Had all the necessary facilities.

THE A/C in my room the lagoon room was really weak and i had trouble sleeping from the heat in my room. Plus the wi-fi didn’t work for me
