Cocohut Zanzibar - Kendwa & Nungwi

Beautiful well annointed little hotel.

It is unfinished and has the potential (and will be) to be exceptional. Bit of a language barrier with the security but otherwise totally fine.

La propreté des locaux, fidèle au photo! J’ai eu un petit soucis très vite pris en charge par le propriétaire, très réactif (remboursement d’une nuit et un petit cadeau en prime) L’établissement est à 3mn à pied de la plage il y a un petit village où faire quelque course et deux restaurant/hotel accessible par la plage pour des repas occidentaux Le propriétaire est facilement joignable et vous pouvez le solliciter pour toute demande (repas, pti dej…)

Rien de particulier tout est fidèle à la description peut être qu’à terme une piscine serait un plus et un groupe électrogène ☺️ il y a eu beaucoup beaucoup de rupture d’électricité, surtout le soir du coup les nuit ont été très très hot😅

This is my second time staying at Cocohut! It’s a very convenient, independent alternative for experiencing the Kendwa and Nungwi area in peace. The rooms and the concept itself are very beautiful and comfortable. It’s not in a very visible or lively location, but you can easily get anywhere by taking a local moto taxi outside. The well-stocked kitchen is also very convenient. I love the amenities and the way they provide such a helpful service while on vacation. I tried the JUA E BAHARI room. Maso is very helpful with WhatsApp communications and helps with many requests, if possible.

I would improve the staff selection, not because they aren't good, but because they don’t speak much English, making it difficult to communicate even the basics of organizing your stay. The BAHARI room is too noisy to hear the water pumps, which is something that in Jua you dont feel. Tell the staff not to go to the back of the rooms so as not to wake up guests during their vacation with music on their phones early in the morning. Install an intercom at the gate; often, no one opens. During the national blackout for the elections, the host had trouble trusting my payment, even though it was my second visit and I was with someone who lives there for work. As someone who works in the industry, I didn’t like that at all.
