Čarovná chatka

The house is located in a quite remote location at the edge of the forest a little bit off from the village, among other farmhouses, but relatively secluded. The host doesn't really speak English, but is very helpful and kind and was at our service with everything we asked or needed. The house is tiny but cosy and the big windows give amazing view to the surrounding nature, squirrels running around, we even saw some fawn at dawn, and there are sheep grazing nearby. There is every kind of kitchen and bathroom equipment to meet basic needs: water boiler, electric stovetop, coffee maker, hairdryer. Apart from the fireplace there are two electric heaters, and the house is well insulated, especially the upstairs bedroom. Despite all the inconveniences listed in the section below, the house is very warm and cosy and lovely, and it is a perfect hideaway for a young couple looking for a cheap romantic weekend in the breathtaking hills around Banská Štiavnica.

The house may be difficult to access in rough weather if your car is smaller, as some of the road is very steep and part of it is gravel - be cautious, but don't worry, you won't need a jeep. The real issue was cleanliness: the house wasn't very clean, and we didn't find a vacuum cleaner to do some extra cleaning ourselves. The beautiful big windows were a bit smudgy, and the bedsheets seemed quite old and stained, probably need replacement. Perhaps a tablecloth and some kitchen towels would also come in handy, as bathroom towels were used for these purposes, and we found no dish drying/dripping tray either. Now for the biggest issue - which may be a deterrent for people with restricted movement: the bedroom is in the attic, accessible through a fold-down trapdoor-ladder located in the tiny bathroom, so if it's down, it's quite difficult to squeeze by, and the rungs are more like a ladder than a staircase. Not for old or disabled people, or for small children. On the upside: there's a double sofa bed downstairs.

Pekné a pokojné ubytovanie v lese nad Vyhňami, dá sa vidieť lesná zver. K dispozícii sauna, vírivka, ohnisko. Ochotný majiteľ. Pekný výhľad zo spálne.

Trochu náročnejší prístup do spálne po sklápacích schodoch.

Well equipped and maintained outdoors (sauna, whirlpool, lounge chairs, fire pit and grill) as well as indoors (cozy, well equipped kitchen, comfortable mattresses, clean bathroom). We loved our visit and will be definitely back :)

Koča je res lepa in popolnoma nova. Poleti je super ker lahko sediš zunaj, notri je sicer bol malo prostora. Kuhinja in kopalnica imata popolnoma vse kar potrebuješ. Za spati je zgoraj dovolj prostora edino dostop je po spustni lestvi v podstrešje, kjer so tudi postelje. Postelje niso najbolj udobne ampak so v redu. Klime ni in se jo ne potrebuje saj je koča v gozdu, kjer je hladno. Tudi podstrešje ima strešno okno, tako da se prostor prezrači. Ima tudi potrebne komarnike zaradi vsega mrčesa. Lastnik je res prijazen in dodegljiv, škoda da se nismo spoznali v živo, saj smo tam prespali samo eno noč. Nastanitev ima tudi masažno kad in savno, ki jo zaradi kratke nastanitve na žalost nismo koristile, je pa doplačilo 20 eur za uporabo tega.
