About this house rental

Welcome to the Jocko River Retreat–a tranquil retreat for nature enthusiasts looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Jocko River and surrounded by natural beauty, this cozy home exudes a timeless atmosphere that invites you to slow down and settle in. From the first morning light across the meadow to the soft evening alpine glow on the mountains and the steady, gentle current of the river, the landscape here offers a sense of calm.

We offer contactless check-in via smart lock. However, we available to answer questions and interact as little or as much as our guests desire. We are passionate about all thing Montana and are happy offer recommendations.

Situated at the mouth of Jocko Canyon along the edge of the Valley, the farmhouse rests in a peaceful corner of western Montana — a place that feels worlds away, yet is just 20 minutes from Missoula International Airport. Positioned within the Flathead Indian Reservation, the area is part of the contemporary and ancestral homelands of the Salish and Kootenai Tribes.

The property’s landscape is a quiet wonder: open meadows, forested hillsides, and a serene river winding past stands of fir and cottonwood. The setting invites rest and reflection while still placing you within easy reach of iconic destinations like the National Bison Range, Ninepipes Wildlife Refuge, the crystal clear waters of Flathead Lake, and Glacier National Park. Missoula, a 20 min drive South, offers a plethora of activities including hiking, biking, paddling and river surfing, live music, farmers markets, a thriving food and arts scene and more.

Just five minutes down the road, the town of Arlee hosts the vibrant Arlee Powwow Celebration each July.

This is a place to breathe deeply and settle in — to watch the light move across the valley, to hear the constant rhythm of the river, and to find your footing in the surrounding beauty. Whether you're here for rest, reflection, inspiration, or as a jumping off point for other adventures, the Jocko River Farmhouse is a rejuvenating retreat that leaves you feeling grounded long after you’ve gone.

With smart locks we have a seamless self check-in process. We are available 24 hours a day to answer any questions or handle any issue that may arise. We are happy to interact as much or little as the guest prefers.

This Jocko River gem has lots of room to relax and amazing outdoor space. The house has a lot of character with unique artistic touches.

It is located on 36 acres and the pristine Jocko River is accessible from the property. There is a newly built firepit, lush gardens, and many outdoor seating areas.
