Large Seaside Cottage with Outstanding Views

The property was very disappointing, especially given the price paid. The house was dirty on arrival, with unwashed dishes, cups, saucepans and other items left in the presses. In one bedroom, the bed sheets appeared not to have been changed for some time, as there was a visible layer of dust when I pulled back the cover. The host also did not send access details in advance. We had to call on arrival, and he did not seem to know where the key was at the time. The fireplaces had not been cleaned and still contained ashes from the previous guests, along with a bucket full of ashes, there was no fresh firewood provided, despite this being stated would be. The fridge and freezer contained old food, and some condiments were out of date, with some expired by over 12 months. One of the main reasons I booked this property was because it had a bath, but the bath was dirty, the plughole was full of hair, and there were dead spiders and flies inside. There were also random items of clothing left around the house, which made it feel like we were staying in someone’s private home rather than a properly prepared rental property. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay and absolutely not what I would expect for the price. I would not recommend this property.
