Mervins & Indus Residence

My stay with Mervin and Indu was incredibly special. From the moment I arrived, they were warm, welcoming, friendly, and genuinely kind. It didn't feel like a holiday accommodation,it felt like coming home and being welcomed as part of their family. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was peaceful, convenient, and perfect for experiencing the local area. One of the highlights of my stay was being spoiled with delicious home-cooked meals and having the opportunity to experience authentic Sri Lankan food and culture in such a personal way. Mervin and Indu's place is much more than just somewhere to stay —it's a home filled with warmth, hospitality, and a wonderful family atmosphere. I highly recommend staying here and would happily return in the future.

I had a lovely stay at Mervin’s and Indu’s place. I stayed for 9 nights and had great chats with them about SL. Food was delicious and homemade by Indu - all the local yummy food. The place is about 30min from the centre but worked well with the training I was doing close by.

Upstairs room gets hot because of high ceilings but fine with AC on. You might need a sleeping mask if you want to sleep longer than sunrise. Floor could be a bit cleaner.

L'accueil +++ , les partages avec les hôtes et les autres touristes de passage. Le calme, la nourriture préparée par la maîtresse de maison, un régal . Nous avons même eu droit à un magnifique gâteau d'anniversaire (encore merci). Les conseils... bref tout nous a plu. Si vous voulez un endroit au calme et vous sentir comme à la maison alors c'est le bon endroit.

Vous serez loin du centre (nous l'avions choisi pour ça) mais tout est accessible facilement en tuk tuk
