A very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Surrounded by nature and home has few animals, making it a perfect getaway for those who enjoy a calm and natural environment.

The property was clean and nice. Would've been a great place to enjoy the peaceful side of ipoh. The live-in house keeper was very warm and friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. Facilities was great too. Pet friendly rooms was a bonus too.
The only unfortunate thing for us that really pulled the valuation down was the noise heard from our side of the room. We had a dog with us and not all rooms in the house was dog friendly which I completely understand. We stayed at the back of the house facing the animals. To keep the animals ventilated and cool, the property had 2 industrial fans to ventilate the animals during the day. However the fans we really loud.. it wasn't a pleasant experience to sit on the porch with the industrial fans buzzing in-front of us. I was hoping to get away from the city and have some quietness but the industrial fans did not help. We could still hear the fans inside out room during the day.
Apart from that I think the parrot kept us up at night as well. Both causes I fully understand to keep the animal's well being, but unfortunately it was at the expense of our peace. With the fans blowing all day and parrot/other nocturnal birds making noise at night, sad to say we didn't really get the peace we wanted in that room. Im sure the other rooms in the main building is more peaceful but it was not pet friendly.
All in all, I do like the property and love the fact that they're pet friendly. It's just unfortunate that I could not feel relaxed during the day with the fan and have proper sleep at night in that room at the back of the house.
Ryokan Management, I really do feel you have a great property with quality rooms and service. Please look into the noise level in that particular room we stayed facing the fans and the birds. Otherwise it would've made our stay pleasant and well worth.

No tv, kettle and cups for coffee in the room. Though you can get from the kitchen.
