Kuker Hut - Хижа Кукер

The property is surrounded in a beautiful setting with a lot of trees. It feels like you’re completely tucked away in an enchanted forest. The staff were friendly and were very attentive. There were good options for food on the property or the near by huts. Our room was well decorated. The best part is they play movies at night out in the open air.

The room didn’t have AC. We couldn’t open all the windows because not all of them had the mosquito nets. Even though the temperature on the mountain drops significantly at night, but the room was still pretty stuffy and it was hard to get a good night sleep. The property was on an uphill slope and they had a blockage sign where cars can’t go up which made it hard for people who come with luggage. This property would be difficult for people who have issues with walking.

The location is great for hiking in the Vitosha mountains. The place has a lot of character and interesting design. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It’s fun to sit outside at the bar or in the yard. Breakfast was nice.

We got the rooms on the 3rd and last floor- many steep stairs to climb! It was quite hot in the rooms. One of the rooms has a bathroom with no window, and had a moldy smell.

I loved the atmosphere, the staff were quite welcoming and polite, and the room was clean, warm and comfortable! I also cannot forget to mention the food, which was the best I've had on a mountain trip!

The only slight inconvenience was the limitted space for clothes and personal belongings.
