Really charming studio. Comfortable and quiet. Clean. Definitely will stay again.

The studio apartment is really cute!! It had everything I needed and was decorated beautifully. The parking was good and everything was more than I expected. Was a great bargain for graduation weekend!!
IT needs a larger air conditioner and a step up to the bathroom. Could also use a light to light up the doorlock.

I had a really nice stay at Michelle’s while attending a conference at UF and checking out the campus for a possible PhD in the future. The studio was exactly what I needed—clean, quiet, and Michelle is an excellent host. However, if you're coming from Europe or somewhere with reliable public transit, Gainesville can be a bit of a shock. I didn't rent a car and had to rely on the buses, so here’s my honest advice for future guests: The 43 bus stop is super close, which is great, but the timing is a total gamble. It can show up 10 minutes early or 20 minutes late, so you have to be at the stop way ahead of time. Also, keep in mind it only runs for a few hours around the day. The 5 bus is a bit further away; it runs more often but has the same punctuality issues. Pro tip: Use Google Maps to see the routes, but once it’s less than 30 minutes before the bus is supposed to arrive, switch to the "GNV RideRTS" app. That’s the only way to see where the bus actually is in real-time. Also, a big heads up for the weekends: the service is almost non-existent, running only from about 10:00 or 11:00 until 17:00. It’s wild how early it stops! Long story short: save yourself the Uber money (which adds up fast here) and just rent a car. But again, the place itself and Michelle’s hospitality were 10/10!
