Maison Hélice - riverside gîte - Ardeche

La Maison hélice, a former silk mill rehabilitated as a gite since 1995, is located on the banks of the river and a few minutes walk from the "characterful" village of Antraigue-sur volane.
The Maison hélice is designed as a place where birthdays, family reunions, holidays with friends, courses, training, seminars, etc., find functional and warm collective and individual spaces.
Its layout can accommodate 15+ people comfortably.

Articulated around a large common living room (kitchen/living room/dining room) and a large terrace (100m2) with a view of the surrounding nature, the cottage is spread over three floors. It consists of 7 bedrooms, 1 lounge-library full of comics and other books, a large work room of 80m2 and a basement transformed into a games room for all ages.
The river offers large swimming pools at the foot of the building and the inner courtyard has an above-ground swimming pool.

The main room of 70 square meters welcoming:
- 1 semi-professional kitchen equipped with a 5-burner piano, two large capacity ovens, a dishwasher 4 min cycle, multifunction robot.
- A dining area with its table for 20 people.

- Lounge area with sofa, parasol and deckchairs, and a sheltered dining area in a shaded courtyard, with a table for 22 people,
- Barbecue and a small outdoor kitchen area with plancha.
The sleeping area
- 6 bedrooms with 160X200 beds (can all be separated into 2 single beds) - a "dormitory" room with 4 single beds (2 bunk beds)
- a library lounge, not being the main living room, equipped with a sofa bed
- 4 bathrooms, one of which is equipped with PRM.

- Children's bass drums (a Lego crate and a playmobil crate)

• a tourist office • various cultural events: among others, the "Jean Ferrat" and "Jean Saussac" festivals (July), the "Ardèche Run" half-marathon (mid-September), the "Fête de la Châtaigne du pays d'Antraigues" (end of October)... • a market of craftsmen and producers from March to October
• a grocery store, a bakery, a pharmacy, more than a dozen craftsmen • And the starting point for many hikes...

- Aubenas (20 min by car) and its castle rehabilitated in 2024 into a contemporary art centre.
- Mont Gerbier de Jonc and the source of the Loire (30 min by car)
- The Ardèche mountains and its attractions (all-season sledging, tree climbing, caving, peda-godic farms...)
- The Pont d'Arc valley (40 min by car) and its canoe departures.
