The newly renovated cottage is attached to a historic home in Alexandria and features a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and new mini split system. Perfect for exploring the DC or Alexandria areas or simply relaxing in the space, this retreat offers comfort in a prime location. Ideal for adventurers and history lovers alike!
The Colonial Cottage of Alexandria was meticulously designed with visitors in mind. Standing proud at a modest 350 square feet, the cottage has a small bedroom (1 queen bed), a bathroom, and a fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen includes a microwave, full fridge and freezer, stove, toaster, sink, dishes, silverware, glasses, as well as french press and a programmable drip coffee option for early mornings. Please note that the kitchen is located downstairs, accessible via a narrow staircase, which may not be suitable for individuals with limited mobility.
The location can’t be beat. The cottage is nestled on a quiet residential street from which guests can walk, bike, scooter, or uber to cobblestone streets, charming boutiques, and renowned restaurants. The cottage is 3/4 mile from the King Street Metro station so you can effortlessly explore all the nation’s capital has to offer while enjoying the welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere of Alexandria.
ATTACHED PRIVATE HOME
The cottage is attached to a private historic home in Alexandria. The entrance is completely private, but there are shared walls. Guests are expected to respect residents during their stay and obey quiet hours.
QUIET HOURS
Quiet hours are 9pm - 7am. There are young children living in the attached home who will also obey these quiet hours. If there is excessive noise or disturbances during quiet hours, we reserve the right to immediately terminate your stay with no refund.
PETS
Pets are not allowed at this cottage.
EARLY CHECK IN/LATE CHECK OUT
Early check in and late check out must be considered on a case by case basis and are always almost approved when possible. You must obtain written approval from us approving either early check in or late check out.
BACKYARD
The backyard is not accessible to guests at this time.
PARKING
There is enough street parking for two cars, please let us know if you plan to bring more.
SMOKING
Absolutely no smoking will be permitted and those caught smoking may be responsible for up to $1200 in fees.
LIABILITY
This rental is privately owned and the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premise. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
