About this house rental
The space
The house includes a spacious, well appointed kitchen and dining area, four bedrooms (one bedroom is accessed through another bedroom), two full bathrooms, a laundry room, a living room and a small sitting room. The surrounding yard is spacious and the closest neighbor is a quarter mile away providing lots of privacy. We want to note, for people with insect sting alergies, that there is an historic beehive in one of the trees out front that have not been a bother to tenants.
If you are looking for additional accommodations, we also have the Starlight Cottage and Star Bungalow on Airbnb.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house but do not have access to the attached garages or old stone school house. Guests are welcome to wander the surrounding property as long as they stay within the property boundaries as indicated on the map in the Welcome Book at the house. Please be aware, if you have insect sting allergies, that there is an historic beehive in one of the trees out front that has not been a bother to tenants.
Other things to note
The occupancy of the guest lodging at the standard rate is seven people. Any gatherings beyond that number must be coordinated with the Host in writing before happening and will have a $10/person/night extra charge for up to 3 additional people in the house.
RVs may also be used at the house in addition to full-rate rental. There is a $25/night fee, which includes permission to hook up a hose and extension cord to the house. Parking is located in front of the house. Our other listings in the area: Star Bungalow (sleeps 4) and Starlight Cottage (sleeps 4)
This home is a part of the larger Redwing Ranch; however, access to the rest of the ranch is strictly prohibited. Redwing Ranch is a working cattle ranch, and there will be times of the year when ranching operations, including flood irrigation and cattle grazing, may occur on the Malachite Retreat parcel. Guests are expected to avoid impacting ranching activities. There is a historic beehive in one of the trees out front that has not been a bother to tenants.
