About this house rental
Welcome to Le Chai des Tortues, a beautifully renovated former Pineau and Cognac wine store in the heart of Rivedoux-Plage. Original Île de Ré stone, warm timber and contemporary details create a characterful home designed for families and friends.
THE HOUSE
The property welcomes up to 6 guests and one baby:
• 3 upstairs bedrooms
• 2 shower rooms, one en suite
• 2 toilets
• a welcoming open-plan living area
• an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen
• a separate utility room
• a small private courtyard
A REMARKABLE LOCATION
The beach is only 250 metres away. The covered market, shops and restaurants are about 300 metres from the house, while the island’s cycle paths begin almost at the doorstep. Two bicycle hire shops are within a few minutes’ walk.
LIVING AND DINING
The living room combines exposed stone, metal beams and warm wood. It includes a large leather sofa, connected television with Orange TV, Bluetooth speaker, books and games. The round dining table is the natural heart of the house, from breakfast before a bike ride to dinner after the market.
A KITCHEN MADE FOR SHARED MEALS
Equipment includes an oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, Ninja dual air fryer, Kenwood heated food processor, Cookeo, filter and pod coffee makers, kettle, toaster and a raclette–griddle–crêpe appliance. Oyster knives, shellfish tools and cookware for mussels and seafood make it easy to enjoy the island’s local produce.
BEDROOMS
The bedrooms are reached by an elegant contemporary metal spiral staircase.
• Main suite: 160 × 200 cm bed, custom storage and private marble shower room.
• Bedroom 2: 140 × 200 cm bed, desk and storage.
• Bedroom 3: 140 × 200 cm bed, desk and storage.
Quality bedding, thermal blackout curtains and ceiling or portable fans provide comfort throughout the year.
BATHROOMS AND FAMILY EQUIPMENT
Both shower rooms feature marble showers, storage and heated towel rails. Hairdryer, hair straightener, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided. Baby equipment is complimentary: travel cot, high chair, lightweight stroller, folding baby bath and play mat. Beach equipment includes a parasol, folding chairs, mats and toys.
