About this apartment rental
Designer apartment located in the renowned Santo Stefano area, on a pedestrian street just a few steps from the university, well served by public transport and close to bars, restaurants, and shops.
The accommodation, located on the ground floor, opens onto the living area with a double sofa bed, TV, and fully equipped open kitchen. Next is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and large wardrobe.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival, you may be required to pay a tourist tax, the amount of which varies according to local regulations. You will find all the information relating to your booking in the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
*The apartment is located in the ZTL (limited traffic zone) area, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the nearby parkings and enjoying the old town on foot.
Bologna, known as the “Dotta” (the learned one) because it is home to the oldest university in the West, the ‘Grassa’ (the fat one) for its excellent food and wine, and the “Rossa” (the red one) for the color that characterizes its historic center, is a wonderful city of art, culture, and commerce. Its soul lies in the medieval historic center, one of the largest in Europe and rich in taverns, shops, and theaters, characterized by almost 40 km of porticoes. In the historic center is Piazza Maggiore, where the charm of medieval buildings blends perfectly with modernity. Don't miss Giambologna's Fountain of Neptune and the medieval towers, the Asinelli and Garisenda, part of a rich cultural heritage preserved in numerous museums, galleries, and religious buildings. Good apartment, but service and communication fell shortThe apartment itself was good—clean, in a decent location, and exactly as pictured. However, the management experience with Wonderful Italy was disappointing, especially given the price point.Check-in was unorganized. The host struggled to open the door (which has a complex 4-lock system), leaving us to figure it out ourselves. Inside, the "essentials" were lacking: there were no mugs or bowls in the kitchen and no kitchen towels. For a week-long stay, we were only provided with two rolls of toilet paper and no extra towels. We expected at least one refresh of sheets and towels for a 7-night stay, but there was no service at all (I assume this is buried in the fine print).Most frustrating was the communication; after check-in, the host completely stopped responding to our messages. Finally, being asked to handle all garbage and recycling without being provided the local rules was an odd request for a professional rental. It’s a nice place, but the management needs to set better expectations and improve their responsiveness.
