About this house rental
This beautifully located former country estate is available as a holiday home. The property is set on approximately 90,000 m² of picturesque land with meadows and woodland. The beach is also within walking distance (approximately 12 minutes).
The holiday home enjoys a peaceful location with no nearby neighbours, surrounded by forest and overlooking a lovely meadow where horses graze throughout the summer.
The property is ideal for large families or groups of friends, accommodating up to 11 guests, with space for one additional mattress if required. The spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area is equipped with two dishwashers, making it easy to cater for larger groups. The house also features two refrigerators and two ovens.
The open-plan kitchen and dining room alone measures approximately 60 m², providing plenty of space for everyone to gather.
The house offers five bedrooms, one of which has bunk beds. In addition, there is a spacious entrance hall, the large open-plan kitchen and dining area, two bathrooms, an older-style kitchen and a cosy living room.
Please note that one of the bathrooms features an outdoor shower only – with hot water, of course – allowing you to enjoy a shower under the open sky.
The property has three terraces. The northwest-facing terrace is particularly pleasant during the mornings and evenings throughout the summer. There is also a covered west-facing terrace, perfect for barbecues and enjoying even the cooler summer evenings. A charming enclosed courtyard terrace faces south-southwest, and there is a small east-facing terrace at the front of the house.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy during your stay, including a TANKKD stock tank pool, a football pitch, trampoline, garden games and an outdoor slide for children.
If the weather is less favourable, you can enjoy board games, darts or table tennis. Alternatively, head to the barn, where you'll find a workbench, tools and materials for making kites, birdhouses or insect hotels.
Please note that the grounds are managed according to the "wild by nature" principle. Birds, insects and wildlife thrive here, and the vegetation is allowed to grow freely, except on the football pitch and around the terraces. For this reason, cats are unfortunately not permitted.
Dogs are welcome, provided they do not cause damage to the house or its furnishings.
The surrounding area offers many wonderful attractions. Nearby you can visit Lille Vildmose Nature Reserve, while the charming seaside town of Øster Hurup offers a relaxed holiday atmosphere and numerous activities, particularly during the summer. The beautiful landscapes of Rold Forest and Rebild Hills are highly recommended for day trips, as is the scenic area around Mariager Fjord.
