About this house rental
Our spacious and light-filled 60m² KUH.HORN vacation apartment is also located on the 2nd floor, under the roof.
It was newly built and completed in July 2025.
Living & Dining
The kitchen with dining area is also equipped with everything you need:
• Stove and oven; dishwasher; refrigerator with freezer; coffee pod machine; electric kettle and toaster; flat-screen TV; free Wi-Fi
The modern, open-concept living area offers an additional sleeping option with its comfortable pull-out sofa bed.
Sleeping
The separate bedroom features a very cozy double bed alcove. The living area also features a comfortable pull-out sofa bed.
Bathroom
In the bathroom, you’ll find a rain shower and a toilet, as well as towels and a hair dryer.
Miscellaneous
We also have a baby/child high chair and a crib/travel crib—please bring your own pillows, a blanket, and/or a sleeping bag.
On the east-facing balcony, you can enjoy the morning sun...
The KUH.HORN is ideal for couples and families who value plenty of light, space, and modern amenities—perfect for relaxing days on the farm.
Children under 3 stay free.
Plus the current visitor’s tax: starting March 1, 2026, it is €1.50 per night per person aged 16 and older (please pay this in cash on site).
A warm welcome to the Dimper Organic Farm in Altenau, nestled in the heart of the Ammergau Alps.
On “ 01.03.2023,” we were fortunate enough to take over this beautiful old farm from outside our family.
The farm was built in 1842 and has been operated with dairy cows ever since.
Since 01.07.2024, we’ve been able to call ourselves Biohof Dimper and market our high-quality milk from cows—all of which have horns—as organic.
Living here with us are: 11 dairy cows and their offspring—including the bull calves, so they don’t have to be transported abroad—(Fleckvieh, Brown Swiss, and the Murnau Werdenfelser breed, which is native to this region and threatened with extinction), donkeys, goats, hens, roosters, and our cat Alfons.
We are currently in the process of expanding our farm to become an Ark Farm. An Ark Farm aims to actively preserve and continue breeding livestock breeds threatened with extinction.
You’re welcome to visit us in the barn—just don’t forget your barn clothes and rubber boots...
Our animals love to be petted and groomed.
The donkeys and goats are always ready to go for a walk with you.
Right next to the farm is the village pond, which is perfect for cooling off on hot days and for ice skating in the winter.
To ensure the ladies can enjoy their vacation too, we recommend the Altenauer Dorfwirt.
At our local bakery, Brauchle, you’ll find everything you need, including homemade bakery items, cakes, and ice cream.
There’s also a great playground nearby.
We look forward to seeing you and hope you’ll have a relaxing time and unwind from everyday life surrounded by the animals and beautiful nature.
Check-in is from 3:00 to 19:00, and check-out is from 07:30 to 09:30.
