Stylish Detached Studio, Banstead with off street Parking

Well equipped for a short stay.

The previous occupants had not washed up very well. But the washing up liquid did not froth well 2 of the mugs were cracked or chipped

Lack of information re operation of room heaters; very low water pressure; no electricity during my last night and morning of departure.

There was some broken glass under the bed and this area should have been cleaned.

Property itself was very nice and finished well, with the exposed beams and modern feel, in particular the kitchen area which has everything you need for a short stay. Location is good, as is the off street parking.

Firstly, it is incredibly disappointing when you book and pay for a place to stay based on the information given in the original listing, then to be told by your host that the checkout time listed is incorrect and to ignore any automated emails about my booking because instead of the 10am-11am window which it states, the checkout time given by the host is indeed 10am. This should simply be amended on the listing rather than having to negotiate a grace period after being told that the cleaners are scheduled to arrive at 10am. There is a distinct lack of attention to detail when it comes to the cleanliness of the property, not to say that the property wasn't clean or maintained whatsoever, but my partner did unfortunately step on a piece of glass and more glass was found by the bed (which also a previous review had mentioned from a couple of months ago). Bed linen appeared and smelt clean, though unfortunately on further inspection was heavily stained and which is not ideal for anywhere you stay. Furthermore, having exposed beams and modern pendant lights as features are great touches but these need to be regularly clean/dusted as there were unfortunately a lot of cobwebs. Also, the bottom of the front blind is damaged and anyone outside can crouch down and look inside unless blocked with something from the inside, which is not great. Considering there is a note in the email from the hostess, advising that any damage will be charged, then this should really have been fixed or replaced as a priority. Lastly, we felt that the property would benefit from a better use of the compact space, by maybe installing wall mounted storage rather than using a freestanding wardrobe, as it would open up the space more as you could then have a better living space e.g. more functional sofa etc, in between the kitchen area and the bed. Also maybe look into the water pressure, as it is very low.
