Downtown Rooftop 1 Bedroom Apartment

Lovely rooftop terrace with sun all day long and views onto the old town square.

Was slightly noisy at night from the local pub renditions of sweet Caroline late on but once doors n windows were closed it didn’t really have an issue. Being picky I’d prefer a coffee maker for the morning rather than kettle. Check out time change at 11 as opposed to to 10.

We were afraid that we would get some noise due to the downtown location of the flat, but everything was calm I would say. We were also lucky to get some sunny winter days so we could enjoy some sun in terrace. Central location, great rooftop view, well equipped, good wifi. No complains.

The views from both balconies are wonderful always something to look at. Both get the sun at different times of the day. Definitely the best balconies in the whole of Old Town, we spent some time scanning and comparing while relaxing with our coffees. Property is spotless clean and well equipped with everything you would need in regards to kitchenware and home comforts. Bed is super comfy too, with crisp white linen. It actually is a stone through from the old town biz and a few minutes from a lovely beach with shops on route to get all your umbrellas etc.. Supermarkets close by and the tourist train stop 1 minute away too. The old town seems much nicer than the "new" town (basing this on a day trip to new town) more enclosed and a much nicer feel. If you love the feel of bars and resteraunts and activity close by then this is the perfect place. We locked ourselves out the first time we left the property but had a new key delivered within 25 minutes, so agency was very responsive. (so please remember door automatically locks). Also Booking.com doesn't show things to do in Albufeira, it's all trips from Other places. There is a tourist train and plenty of trips from Albufeira Marina (a 15 minute walk away) so worth taking a walk down to see what's available. We did kayaking and parasailing which I would highly recommend.

The only downfall is that there is one bar that seems to comondeer the old town valley with its PA system at 8pm. Don't worry though once the windows and doors are closed it's drowned out. We had just done the Camino, so spent 14 days mostly in rural towns and villages or locally inhabited areas, so we kinda got "old town" mixed up with them. We had 7 nights here so once we had recovered we spent our last few nights immersed in the bars and streets of the business. It really is the only fault I can pick (that one bar) as of course you will hear some noise during peak tourist season.
