Pendle view- luxurious Studio

We loved the cosy sofa and working Tv wifi was great just needs a usb plug which was no problem at all floor and bathroom was clean they also provided bathroom amenities and kitchen amenities bed was nice and cosy and the provided heater did its job decently but overall didn’t affect our stay in a negative light this has been my second stay and it only got better than the last no bad words to say and the owner was very respectful and responsive always quick to solve any minor issues and was very hospitable will definitely be coming back in the future

The view over Pendle Hill is outstanding. The owner of the property appeared attentive but sadly the property does not live up to its luxurious label.

Check in was a mess. I checked in a few days late due to a change in circumstances and let the owner know. They seemed fine with this but when I went to check in they weren’t available until 5pm (I had informed them twice I would be arriving by 2pm). There was then a very confusing half hour where he states the property had been double booked so had to get the keys back from someone else. When we finally got in we were told the heating didn’t work. An attempt had been made to rectify this but a single portable heater did little to make the flat warm especially in Winter. In addition there was a strong smell of marajuanna outside the building which had managed to find its way inside when we returned later in the evening. We were also asked to avoid slamming doors as the other tenants would complain. I would understand this if it wasn’t for the fact that you could hear the music from the gym between 8am and 11pm. The shower was about as strong as a dribble. The bed had a single sized or possibly 1 1/2 sized duvet for a double bed which meant getting cosy under the sheet to stay warm. The pillows were also very thin not really suitable for sleeping in my opinion. The walls were dirty and so were the doors (a lick of paint wouldn’t go a miss). There was a ladder in the kitchen alongside a fold out mattress. There was a second spare mattresses (along with a dirty duvet). The latter leads me to believe that someone had been staying there during the part of my booking I couldn’t make and that is why I couldn’t check in before 5pm. Simply put it felt like my old student digs but with a better view and a worse shower. Will I stay again? No I will pay the £80 extra and go to The Oaks.

the property was a tip! the bed had no bedsheet on it. the mattress was covered in stains which looked like blood and urine. the floors hadn’t been hoovered in weeks, the property had a probation slip which was from multiple residents ago the cleaner told me because she knew who he was. the sofa had blood on it that had been left there, no toilet roll on the property at all we asked for some but never received any. due to the flat being a mess when we told the owner he sent a cleaner at at 12:30am who asked for us to go out whilst she cleaned.

On arrival the address was hard to find had to ring the owner to be told it was within the powerhouse gym complex above, this is not stated on bookings.com, apparently the owner has tried to sort it out. The main door you go in to get upto the staircase was wide open so anyone could of gone up there and kicked your door in..not safety conscious.. There was a wheelie bin on its side near the entrance and the contents on the floor, pretty disgusting to see this when it's the entrance to the accommodation.. The hallway and the staircases were disgusting, no one had hoovered or cleaned it recently.. We walked upto the room and it all felt a bit weird.. The fire escape door was open with rubbish bags outside.. Went into the room and in the corner were a set of ladders and someone's item of clothing on the floor. The bedroom had someone's jacket still hung up.. Behind the bed some storage box with a blk bag sat on it. The carpets hadn't been hoovered, the sink/shower/floor/toilet/kitchen hadn't been cleaned, hair and dirt on radiators and surfaces it was abs awful. Wouldn't mind there was cleaning products left on the windowsill in the kitchen.. Plastic jug jst placed on the bathroom floor bit random.. Toilet roll still down the toilet. Kitchen units had paint n other stuff in them.. No tea towels or hand towels.. TV didn't connect.. And to top it off we went out and came back 2hrs later and we had no electricity!! My husband got the ladders and opened the electricity box, was only a pre payable one!! Now we knew why the ladders were there.. Rang the landlord and he said he would ring and pay for electricity!! Was abs shocked that this was happening.. We sat in the dark for about 15mins.. The rooms were cold and it's over an old gym, we were also told about the noise from the gym that ends at 8pm and it started at 7.40am boom boom! The whole experience was a joke.. I wanted to leave as soon as I walked through the door..

Vendor withdrew the property at the last minute which also removed my option to cancel! I was not refunded the full booking amount - I am expected to cover the booking fees/commission! Absolute disgrace!! Never experienced this before on this site. Very disappointed it is so unprofessional and would not recommend this property or accept anything said by the vendor.

Property was honestly one of the best I’ve booked in years, very clean and the host was very welcoming. Definitely recommend others to book.
