The best part of this homestay is its location — it is around 600–700 meters from Varkala Beach and the main cliff, making it very easy to walk to the beach, cafés, and markets. The room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. Although the room size was modest, it was comfortable and suitable for budget travelers, with all basic amenities like a cot, mattress, cupboard, table, chair, and good ventilation. I also liked the veranda seating area, which was a nice place to relax in the evening and interact with other guests. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, allowed us to keep our luggage for several hours after checkout, and even offered flexible options to extend our stay at a reasonable price during peak season. Overall, the stay felt comfortable and welcoming.

The only minor issue was that the bed was quite squeaky, which made noise when moving. Because of this, we ended up sleeping with the mattress on the floor. It wasn’t a major problem for us, but it’s something that could be improved. Apart from that, everything else was fine. The view from the property may not be very scenic, but that is expected since the place is not directly on the beach and the distance is clearly mentioned in the listing.
