The Clydesdale Cottage

We had a very relaxing stay at the cottage! As a part of the Lindsay Lake Farm, it is located in the picturesque and remote countryside. The cottage itself was amazing: beautifully decorated, peaceful, has an outside seating area and includes everything needed for cooking. (Tip: grab groceries in Halifax!) The farm itself is a gem. We were able to completely disconnect and unwind. We spent half a day walking around the farm grounds, watching bison, horses and we even met a deer! At the evening, we cooked a dinner and enjoyed it in peace and quiet at the cottage, watching birds and rabbits just outside the cottage. The family who own the farm are very kind and welcoming, they even allowed us to join them for the evening bison feeding! There are a lot of other activities to do around the farm as well, including forest hike, paddling on a lake, and if you are staying on Saturday - a walking tour, a food track and an option to book a picnic basket! PS: check in was smooth!

Out stay was outstanding. One thing to note about a remote area is a weaker mobile/wifi signal. It is good enough for everything you need during weekend/vacation but I wouldn’t attempt working remotely from here.
