2 pièces coup de cœur, balcon ensoleillé, 5 min à pied du sanctuaire

Rather than going to hotel in Lourdes, we decided to rent a flat. This one was perfect for us. A 5 minute walk into the Grotto. All the restaurants, cafes, bakery & shops we used were within a 10 minute walk. All excellent choices. The flat itself was cosy and although basic, it had a few subtle 'home sweet home' touches from its owner Maud. Special mention to Maud - an exceptional remote host who assisted us right from the moment we arrived, helping us with restaurant & cafe suggestions, sorting out our first night dinner reservation and generally "being there" in the background each day. Excellent host

Nothing really. Our main challenge was not the host's fault 1. Our transfer driver on being given the address took us to the rear of the building (which is a separate buisiness). As we started to head around to the correct door entry, however that hotel manager (an older gent - with little English), came out & insistantly ushered us into one of his rooms to show us. We resolved the matter by calling Maud so she could explain his error. MORAL OF STORY... INSIST TO YOUR DRIVER TO TAKE YOU ONTO 44 BVRD DE LA GROTTO. TGE CORRECT ACCESS DOOR..IT HAS AN ATM MACHINE TO IT'S LEFT SIDE (As per Maud's instructions you receive just before you head to Lourdes 2. It's ideal for a couple of days in Lourdes. Although if staying longer, with no washing machine, it could be a bit of a challenge (however we did see a few self serve laundrette, all within 10 min walks, so in my mind it's not an issue)

Super séjour. Voyageur solo venu pour une nuit, difficile de trouver mieux pour ce type de déplacement. Les indications pour l’arrivée étaient très claires, j’ai trouvé l’appartement facilement. Je suis venu en voiture et tout était bien expliqué pour le stationnement : j’ai pu me garer derrière rue de Pau sans difficulté, et gratuitement, ce qui est vraiment pratique. L’appartement est conforme aux photos, très joli, décoré avec goût. On sent qu’il y a une vraie attention dans les détails, ça fait la différence. L’ambiance est chaleureuse et on s’y sent vite à l’aise. C’est aussi très fonctionnel : on a vraiment tout sur place, comme dans un vrai pied-à-terre. Shampoing, gel douche, dentifrice… et dans la cuisine, une machine Nespresso pour le café du matin, avec même une petite bouteille de lait. On peut presque arriver les mains vides. Le balcon filant est un vrai plus : aménagé avec goût, il donne envie de se poser pour un café le matin au soleil. Le WIFI est excellent (fibre), j’ai pu travailler sans aucun problème. L’emplacement est vraiment idéal : à peine 5 minutes à pied du sanctuaire. J’ai pu aller manger une pizza recommandée par l’hôte, assister à la procession aux flambeaux, puis rentrer à l’appartement en quelques minutes, ce qui est très appréciable après une longue marche. Le lit est confortable, j’ai bien dormi. L’hôte est attentive et impliquée. Elle appelle après la réservation pour s’assurer que tout est clair et savoir comment aider au mieux, notamment selon le mode d’arrivée. Elle partage aussi de bonnes adresses locales et reste disponible pendant le séjour. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Rien à signaler - tout était parfait, je reviendrai avec plaisir.
