Docklands Dream

This is a lovely modern apartment in a secure block located in the historical dock warehouse area. The apartment is well fitted out and stocked with all home comforts. It is quiet at night. There is a nice balcony with views towards the stadium and a rooftop deck and pool with waterfront views. The owner actually met me and let me in and explained about the property. There was a problem with the shower head which was dealt with promptly the next day. It's a great area with close access to shops, CBD, waterfront all within 1km.

There was a bit of a mouldy smell in the bathroom which persisted after the plumber put some drain cleaner. It was probably a ventilation issue.

Location and cost

Air conditioning control was difficult to understand so struggled to turn on and, when we did, couldn’t turn it off.

I liked the easy access to the N1, V&A , Kloof Street and Sea Point. There is also a Vida Cafe downstairs which is great for a picking up a coffee and a toasted sandwich or muffin. The apartment was a nice size for the 2 of us. Also the owner was quick to respond to any of our queries.

I liked the fact that the door key works off an app, but my husband wasn't keen to download the app.
