Staying at Akos’s place is my new favourite place to stay in Budapest. Seriously! The host was always friendly, polite and really helpful – he really did everything to make me feel comfortable there during my creative stay. I’m so grateful. For me (as a conscious traveller), it really makes a big difference. Clear, concise, detailed instructions on how to get to the flat. As for the flat itself: it has everything: from a range of cooking utensils (even a garlic press), through to pots and pans (as good as new!), a great coffee machine, a set of spices (again, including olive oil – a rare find, and I’ve been to many places in Europe). A washing machine, other appliances – all new or as good as new – of excellent quality! Plus, lighting in the wardrobe when you open it to look through your things – a super-useful feature for ladies. Plus, great lighting in the living room/bedroom with very smart, ingenious controls. Plus, air conditioning/heating that works well. A comfortable bed and fresh bed linen – just like in a hotel. Really. I could go on and on... There are even books to read, and a welcome bottle of water (my favourite, still) and a little chocolate – such lovely gestures. And finally, the complimentary cleaning offered halfway through my stay – truly first-class hospitality. Thank you Akos, for that wonderful hospitality from your side.
