the way the property looks, it’s a nice cozy space and it looks exactly like the pictures. i like how hands on the owner is and is always available whenever you need him. i like how shops are a walking distance from the property, checking in was also not a problem. the layout of the property is pretty and everything else in the house is pretty. it fits the space.

there isn’t anything i didn’t like about the property.

Did not end up staying at this property; I felt I couldn’t stay and cancelled. The set up of the loft is as advertised (this different, special set up is why I booked the place- wanted to try something different from the typical hotel type set up). Lovely set up of the apartment.

1. It was tricky to find the place- the address on booking.com is not the exact address of the property but not far off either (probably a booking.com mistake). I couldn’t get hold of the host telephonically right away so I had to wait to get instructions on how to get access to the loft. 2. Theres a club around the area- very loud music: not a good place to be if you want a quite environment to relax 3. There was no electricity in the apartment: the electric meter was on zero. The host couldn’t fix this problem timeously. Ended up asking me to buy and recharge the meter (was going to reimburse me but that just sucks honestly). I checked in late, so it was dark- had to use my phone flash light (phone battery was dying) 4. The place was fairly clean, but other areas-not so much. Some of the indoor plants were dying. 5. I needed to take a shower badly, the water was cold. The place uses a gas geyser- the host did give instructions on how to switch on the geyser -but for some reason I just couldn’t get hot water. 6. It was a cold winter night in Jozi- there was just one flimsy bedspread on the bed, no extra blankets. The host did apologise for all these inconveniences and offered to move me to another one of his apartments around the area but it was late and I just wanted out of there. I booked elsewhere. When I cancelled my booking- I was fully refunded, that was really nice of the host. (That’s why I’m rating it 6 instead of 1/10)
