Te Fati Faniu Lodge

Location is beautiful and peaceful! Loved how it was very quiet and chill. You can catch the beautiful sunrise on the other side (5 min walk). Hard to beat this location. The family who run the place are kind, friendly, and welcoming. The food is delicious—probably some of the best we’ve eaten during our stay.

More like a tip. This is more like a campground so everything is very basic/bare bones (the family room does have a fridge so bring snacks). Order meals ahead. The family can communicate in English but it would be easier for everyone if you speak French (or Tahitian).

An unforgettable stay in Bora Bora. The location is simply incredible. Staying on a private motu felt like being in paradise, surrounded by crystal-clear water, stunning views, and complete peace and quiet. This is a small family-run property, which made the experience feel authentic and personal. The staff were wonderful, especially Vai and Ari, who were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Guests should know that there is no running water in the traditional sense, but honestly, once you see where you are, details like that become insignificant. The beauty of the place more than makes up for it. Paradise on Earth. We would return without hesitation.

The only downside was the restaurant prices, which were noticeably higher than anywhere else we visited in French Polynesia.

Location! Beautiful sand beach which we had all to ourselves during the day when the restaurant on the property was not busy. There is a second rocky beach on the other side of the motu which was stunning for sunrise! The Poisson cru with fresh coconut milk was the best I had during 5 weeks in FP. Kind hosts as well.

The tents are set in the middle of the property. Not very scenic and minimal breeze. But they are set up on raised ground. They also have big windows and comfy pads to sleep on.
