Hotel Esmeralda

Todo, es extremadamente cómodo, ideal para quedarse luego de un largo viaje. El personal es extremadamente amable, y agradable. Agradecer la ayuda de las personas de recepción, en especial Nabil, quien fue muy amable y me ayudó bastante. El desayuno es maravilloso

Lo único que no me gustó fue que la piscina está al lado de recepción, y en medio de donde se toma desayuno.

お昼ごろ到着したにもかかわらず、チェックインをさせてくれて助かりました。ありがとうございました。 お部屋は綺麗で広さも充分で快適でした。 シャワーの湯が緩かったのが残念な点です。 ホテルスタップのNabilは、とても親切でレイトチェックアウトや、バスを待つ間フロントで過ごさせてくれたりと大変お世話になりました。そのほかのスタッフさんも笑顔でとても印象が良かったです。 シェフシャウエンの観光はとてもたくさん歩くので、夜はこのホテルでゆっくり過ごすのが最高だと思います！

The hotel was nice and modern as per the photos and the room was large and clean. The hotel was <10 min walk to the Medina so location was good. Buffet-style breakfast was typical Moroccan and good. Wifi and AC was good.

The hotel itself was overall good, but I took serious issue with the parking. We booked through booking.com which stated “free public parking is possible on site (reservation is needed)”. The parking was the main reason we booked this property as parking in Chefchaouen is crazy and we did not want to be driving around small streets looking for a spot and then have to lug our bags all the way to the hotel. After I made my booking I messaged the hotel and asked if I could reserve a parking spot and they replied “Je vous confirmez votre demande” which to me meant that we had reserved a parking spot. When we arrived in Chefchaouen it was difficult to get to the hotel as Google tried to direct us incorrectly down some one-way streets and as predicted, traffic was nuts. When we finally found the hotel we luckily found a spot on the street where we parked during check-in. When I asked about parking they said the parking was a 5 minute walk away and didn’t offer any direction to get there and the impression was that it wasn’t worth it, find somewhere else on the street (street parking was free). There was no offer to help us with our bags (they did not know how far away we’d parked). Now, because we had found parking on the street I didn’t force the issue, but had we not been that lucky and then had to drive around the busy, narrow, one-way streets to find parking I would have been livid. The bathroom was small but the shower was hi-tech with digital reading of the exact water temp and a timing of your shower. The pool was in the dining area which was off the lobby which felt weird. The staff were polite but came off as disinterested.
