Pokito House on the Hill

The view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking! The owner is very pleasant and is eager to provide anything needed at any time via phone, and the balcony is spacious enough for everyone to feel at ease.

There were very frequent hornets buzzing around our ears, feet, things on the table... The road to get to the place is also a bit difficult to drive on, and there was some construction happening down the road, which was blocking our access. (It was resolved by the time we were departing)

We had a very nice weekend here. The best part of the house is the huge outdoor terrace with a breathtaking view where we spent most of our time. The house was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. Downstairs there is a small bathroom, a living room and a compact kitchen. The kitchen is not really designed for serious cooking because there is not much working space, but it is very functional and surprisingly well equipped, with lots of glasses, cups, plates, bowls and utensils. There is also a dishwasher, which was a big plus. There are two fridges: one inside and one outside on the terrace. The outdoor fridge was especially convenient for keeping drinks cold, since we spent so much time outside. There is also a small grill, which we used on both days and it worked perfectly well. The owner is understandably very careful about fire because the grill is close to grass and plants, so it should be used responsibly. There are two air conditioners, one in each bedroom, although we didn’t need to use them because it was windy and the temperature at night was comfortable. Hot water was excellent. Check-in was very easy and communication with the owner was friendly and pleasant. The house also felt quite private. There are neighbours on both sides, but we barely heard or interacted with them. Pets are allowed for an extra fee. Our friends visited with their dog and he had a great time running around the yard.

The road up to the house is quite rough, with a lot of bumps and potholes, so it’s best to drive slowly and carefully. There are also plants growing quite close to the road in some places, so try to keep some distance from them if possible – we managed to scratch our car a little. There were quite a few wasps around the terrace, so there is probably a nest somewhere nearby. The owners had left plenty of insect-repellent spirals, which helped. We also discovered that leaving a glass of water for the wasps worked surprisingly well – they seemed to be thirsty and bothered us much less afterwards. These were really only small inconveniences and did not spoil our stay at all.

Oit is nice

Ovo je predivna kuća u kojoj je čak i zimi toplo i prijatno. U svakom kutku se oseća da je vlasnici vole, brinu o njoj i stalno je unapređuju. U kući nema nikakvih neprijatnih mirisa, čak je i u kupatilu prijatno i toplo. Domaćini kao da unapred pogađaju svaki korak i svaku potrebu gostiju i sve obezbeđuju na vreme. Ima mnogo cveća. Mogu samo da zamislim koliko je ovde prelepo tokom letnje sezone. Hvala vam na divnom odmoru!
