The rooms are very nice and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. When I was there the road along one side was being reconstructed so it was a bit of a mess - didn’t detract from the hotel in my eyes. The hotel breakfast is great and the in-house restaurants also. There are also a number of nice Georgian restaurants nearby.

Very beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Great breakfast selection, but starting at 8a.m. is a touch late as it's unsuitable for visitors with early plans. It's unfortunate that there are massive construction/ road works right in front of the hotel making the main entrance unsightly and muddy.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Convenient location. Top-notch customer service—very quick response to any request. Friendly staff; I would especially like to mention the young man at the reception—it’s a pity I didn’t catch his name, but next time I stay at your hotel, I’ll find out his name and make sure to acknowledge him. Thank you for the hospitality.

The Telegraph is a beautiful hotel and overall we enjoyed our stay, although the experience fell slightly short of what we expected from a five-star property. There were some real highlights. We received a very warm welcome from Luca on arrival, and the thoughtful gift to celebrate our wedding was a lovely touch that we really appreciated. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, and the overall aesthetic and atmosphere are impressive. Breakfast at Grand Café was excellent, and the restaurant team there were consistently warm, attentive and professional. Room service was also prompt and efficient. Where we felt there was room for improvement was in the consistency and attention to detail across the wider hotel. Staff were always helpful when approached, but service often felt more reactive than proactive. On two occasions we needed concierge assistance and discovered that the concierge did not start until 3pm. On one occasion the front desk stepped in and helped us, which we appreciated; on another, a message was passed on regarding a reservation, but unfortunately it was never followed through. Housekeeping and turn-down were similarly inconsistent in small ways. Sometimes additional water was provided and sometimes it wasn’t; items left from room service remained in the room; and on occasion fresh robes were provided without the previous ones being removed. None of these issues was significant enough on its own to warrant making a complaint during our stay, but collectively they detracted from the seamlessness and attention to detail we expected at this level. We didn’t use the bars and chose to eat outside the hotel apart from breakfast, as we were looking for more traditional Georgian cuisine, so I can’t comment on all of the hotel’s facilities or dining options. Overall, this is a beautiful property with some excellent staff and genuinely thoughtful touches. We had a pleasant stay and have particularly positive memories of the welcome we received and our experiences at Grand Café. With greater consistency, proactive service and attention to the smaller details, the overall experience could match the very high standard of the hotel itself.
